Since 2016, Rare Disease Hong Kont（RDHK）organises a large-scale conference annually to discuss and make recommendations on different rare disease topics. This year, the Rare Disease Symposium 2024 is co-organised by RDHK, HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, Peking Union Medical College Hospital and China Alliance for Rare Diseases with the theme "Living Connected, Brightens Living with the Rare". We have invited a total of 26 medical experts from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas to discuss rare disease policies, the latest research and treatment developments; and 14 representatives of rare disease patient organisations from Mainland China and Hong Kong to share their experiences.
