Causes:
Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma develops when B-lymphocytes undergoes genetic mutations that leads to rapid cell multiplication. It is associated with exposure to EBV or HIV.

Prevalence:
Classical Hodgkin lymphoma accounts for 10-15% of all types of lymphomas and 90-95% of all Hodgkin lymphomas. The incidence ranges from 2-3 cases per 100,000 people in developed countries.
Diagnosis:
Physical examinations assess the signs and symptoms. Biopsy of involved tissue removed from the swollen lymph nodes to confirm diagnosis.
Age of onset:
Commonly diagnosed at age between 15-40 and age above 60. Diagnosis in children under the age of 10 is rare.
Common signs and symptoms:
Painless swollen neck, armpit or groin Abnormal fatique Abnormal weight loss Itching Unexplained cough Fever Shortness of breath
Available treatments (medicinal and non-medicinal):
Different types of radiotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic (e.g. ABVD) are used depend on the stage of tumor progression. Stem cell transplant are used occasionally.
Disease management tips:
Periodic general check-ups are recommended to track tumor development. Follow-ups are needed for possible late effects of treatment such as secondary malignancy and cardioc toxicity.
