The RDHK 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner on November 29, 2024 was a great success. We would like to thank everyone who came to share this joy with us. We were honored to have Prof. ZHANG Shuyang, President of Peking Union Medical College, Prof. LAU Chak-sing, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health) and Dean of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, and Ms. Chan Yee-lee, Senior Social Work Officer (Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services) of the Social Welfare Department as our guests of honor, and we would like to thank Mr. LI Linkang, the Executive Chairman of the China Alliance for Rare Diseases, who gave us valuable reference books and a painting drawn by a rare disease patient as congratulatory gifts to RDHK for its ten years of efforts and achievements.

After the cake-cutting and toasting ceremony, the dinner was officially launched. Over 160 guests attended the dinner, including medical experts, academics, policy advocates and representatives of patient organizations from the Mainland, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Australia, Korea and local communities, as well as former and current council members, staff, senior members and partners of RDHK. Guests seemed to be more interested in the social interaction than the food, and spent a lot of time chatting with old friends and making new ones!
